Growing up, I was surrounded by exceptional hosts, especially my Oma and Aunt Betsy. They always showed me that if you want to be invited to parties, you should host some! I’ve always been excited by curating beautiful menus, selecting the perfect ingredients, and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Bringing people together to make unforgettable moments is something I genuinely love, and it’s what inspired me to pursue a career in event planning.
Can you share a defining moment that shaped your career?
A defining moment in my career as a corporate event planner came when I started receiving more and more inquiries for private events through my own company. My first solo event was a large corporate retreat referred to me by a friend. It was a multi-day retreat featuring luxurious glamping tents, a top-notch chef, and everything needed to create an unforgettable experience. Seeing it all come together seamlessly was incredibly rewarding. It was then that I realized my talents were appreciated far beyond the company I was working for and that my company could be a sustainable and fulfilling career path. This event was the turning point where I saw the potential of my business and felt the excitement of forging my path.
How would you describe your personal and professional values?
My personal and professional values revolve around working hard and being kind to people. The entire process matters, so I prioritize building solid relationships with vendors to ensure everything runs smoothly. Creating a seamless and enjoyable experience while fostering rapport and kindness is at the heart of what I do.

If I could give my younger self some advice, trust yourself and your instincts. Embrace every opportunity to learn, even from challenges and setbacks. I manage stress and maintain a healthy work-life balance by loving my work. My calendar is my best friend—I schedule everything from downtime and exercise to professional obligations, ensuring I stay organized and on track. I prioritize nurturing solid relationships with friends and family, which adds joy and support to my life. I define success as an event planner by my clients’ smiles and the memorable experiences I create for their guests. Success is about flawlessly executing every detail from the initial concept to the final farewell and exceeding expectations. One particularly uplifting experience that comes to mind is when I had the opportunity to organize a charity event for local children in need. The event aimed to raise funds and awareness for numerous programs and services for vulnerable young people.
During the event, I had the chance to connect with young people who benefited directly from the funds. These young people shared their stories with me, detailing their challenges and the funds’ transformative impact on their lives.
