The progression of World Vegan Day into a month-long celebration reflects the growing interest in the lifestyle. Aside from the obvious reasons of ethical treatment of animals and environmental advantages, it’s proven that adopting a plant based diet has a beneficial impact on health. The Vegan Society aims to not only commemorate its own founding, but to highlight how accessible and beneficial a vegan lifestyle can be and to encourage the vegan-curious to explore the concept.
