Sleeping with the Sharks is an exciting opportunity for young Finding Dory fans to find out what really happens in the underwater world.
The National Marine Aquarium, in Plymouth, is the largest in the UK, and love to inspire new generations with underwater experiences.
Their sleepover experiences are suitable for ages 5 and up, and an adult goes free with every 10 children, making it ideal for parties, group bookings, or family memories.
The plan of the evening is action packed, with arrival after tea at 6:30pm. The introduction is at 7pm, followed by a ‘twilight tour’ to find out what the fish get up to at night. Then there are fishy arts and crafts in the Aquarium’s Just Add H20 Creative Centre, followed by games in the exhibits. After that, there is a big screen movie in front of the Eddystone Reef tank, and then a midnight snack before bed. In the morning, a light breakfast is provided in the Ocean View cafe, before departure at 9am.
The Aquarium’s website assures parents that all sleepover hosts are DBS checked, and all children attending must have a signed Parental Consent form. Alcohol is strictly prohibited, and toilets and changing areas are single-sexed.
Attendees should bring a change of clothes to sleep in (not pyjamas), a sleeping bag and pillow, a roll mat or lilo, and of course a toothbrush.
The charge is £40 per child, and £30 per adult, although if you book for 50 or more children the price is £30 per child and one adult free for every 10 children. Additional adults are £30 each.
The sleepovers are intended for children, but all children must be accompanied by an adult.
