A leading Greater Manchester architectural practice has appointed five new directors, as the company continues a period of expansion.
BTP Architects has appointed Elliot Denby, Leanne Beirne, Andy Wan and Simon Dennis as Directors and Emma Cross has been appointed as Business Development Director. The new roles have been created as part of the firm’s growth strategy and follow a period of sustained success.
Elliot Denby joined BTP in 2017. He is a Certified Passivhaus Designer with a strong interest in green architecture. Elliot has considerable experience in a range of project types including education projects and residential schemes for private clients and housing associations across the UK.
Also joining the firm in 2017, Leanne Beirne previously worked on public sector and universal design projects in Singapore and Sweden. Over her time at BTP, Leanne has developed in-depth knowledge of design and building regulations for housing and heritage projects. Leanne has extensive experience in large residential schemes and estate and tower block remediation projects, with specialist knowledge of fire safety works and detailing. She is also a Certified Passivhaus Designer with a keen interest in sustainable architecture.
With experience in large residential and commercial schemes and master planning in the UK and Asia, Andy Wan brings considerable expertise in design software and technology to the team. As a qualified Passivhaus Designer, Andy has a keen interest in how architecture can help us live sustainably while minimising the impact on the environment.
Simon Dennis joined the firm in 2015 and has since introduced BTP to the judicial and custodial sectors. Simon has experience completing a broad range of project types and sizes; from private domestic projects to multi-million-pound construction for government bodies and commercial organisations. Simon is highly skilled at job running, detailed design, conservation projects and project management.
Emma Cross has 20 years of experience as a Business Development Manager in the professional services sector. Joining in 2014, Emma is responsible for managing business development strategy and marketing activities throughout the practice, including client care, bid management, JVs and partnerships and marketing communications.
