Conferma, the Manchester-based fintech which pioneered virtual payment technology, has achieved Great Place to Work certification on its first application.
Conferma, which has recently undergone a large scale rebrand and relocated to Towers Business Park, Didsbury, has committed to a mission of simplifying global commerce, making it easier for companies to connect and do business anywhere in the world. The business is growing rapidly, with a team of over 150 that is expecting significant further growth over the next 12 months.
The award is recognition for the development of a positive and inclusive company culture. During the certification process, 89% of employees at Conferma said it is a great place to work, compared to the average of 54% of employees at a typical UK based company. Ninety-eight per cent (98%) of employees agreed that all employees are treated fairly regardless of their race, sex or sexual orientation.
Employees at Conferma have opportunities to work in partnership with some of the largest and most innovative Travel Management Companies, Financial service providers and Corporates.
Sarah Burton, Conferma’s HR Director, said: “We’re delighted to have received the Great Place to Work Certification, even more so on our first time applying. What was especially encouraging to see was the extremely high employee experience scores. Our priority is to attract and retain the next innovators in the payments landscape to join our growing team, so obtaining this acknowledgement of why Conferma is a great to work is perfect recognition.”
Jason Lalor, Conferma CEO, said: “The ground-breaking payments technology at Conferma is testament to the world-class talent we have. Over the last year, Conferma has undergone significant change in moving offices, rebranding and reworking our mission to make sure we are fit for the future. Receiving the Great Place to Work certification further shows the hard work has paid off.
“Over the next few years, we’re looking to build upon this strong foundation, powering a global payments ecosystem from the growing fintech hub of Manchester. The only way we’ll do that is by working with the best of the best and providing them with an energetic work environment to thrive.”
