Ready for the Autumn harvest season, the Saatchi Gallery Bar & Brasserie by Searcys has launched a new Sunday Lunch Menu, where the best autumnal British produce takes centre stage. Weekends will also see the start of new live jazz nights for diners to enjoy, along with a gold-leaf cocktail special. Perfect for art lovers and family lunches, guests can dine in the beautiful surrounds of the modern restaurant, set to the backdrop of the Duke of York Square and Saatchi Gallery.
The hearty Sunday Lunch menu, created by Head Chef Phil Neil, runs from a selection of nibbles for the table, along with crowd-pleasing starters including a Leek and potato vichyssoise with herb crème fraiche, and Confit Chicken and pistachio terrine. The main event includes a choice of three roasts, from Slow roast quarter Suffolk Chicken and Aged Hereford Sirloin, along with a vegan option of Smoked Aubergine caviar, with braised Puy lentils – served with all the trimmings, seasonal vegetables, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Ending the menu on an indulgent note, desserts include a decadent Valrhona chocolate tart with salted caramel ice cream, and an Earl Grey panna cotta with a homemade butter shortbread.
As experts on Sparkling wine and Champagne, there is also a carefully curated list of Champagnes and wines available by the glass or bottle, including award-winning Louis Pommery Brut Royal, and Greyfriars Cuvée Brut from Surrey. Alessio Aufiero, Searcys’ Head Mixologist has also created a new cocktail special, the Searcys 1847, a nod to the foundation date of the UK’s longest running caterer. The cocktail includes a mix of vodka, Grand Marnier and elderflower liqueur, topped with Searcys Selected Cuvée Brut and 23ct edible gold leaf.
For those visiting during the week, there will also be a new seasonal a la carte menu, with dish highlights of Caramelised Roscoff onion and autumn squash in a shortcrust pastry tart, along with Searcy’s signature Aged Hereford beef burger, and Cambridge burnt cream, baked sable biscuit. To break those long autumn nights, there will also be live music every Friday and Saturday evening from London jazz musicians to welcome guests.
The new Sunday Lunch menu is available every Sunday at the Saatchi Gallery Bar & Brasserie by Searcys. Located in the wing of the renowned Saatchi Gallery, Searcys took the reins in early 2020, reimagining the all-day dining menu for Brasserie and Champagne Bar.
