London’s favourite Scottish restaurant, Mac & Wild, is launching its Shooting Range and Whisky Bar at the lower ground of Mac & Wild Devonshire Square, just a 2-minute walk from Liverpool Street Station. Designed to bring two of Scotland’s favourite past-times to the heart of the city – whisky and shooting – Shooting Range and Whisky Bar aims to offer something completely unique.
The team at Mac & Wild has partnered up with Blair Bowman to curate the whisky menu and the events schedule and are also working closely with Monkey Shoulder and Glenfiddich to bring some unique and interesting serves to the bar, such as whisky slushies, a selection of whisky highballs and a ‘Whisky Happy Hour’ between 5pm and 7pm.
The bar is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm until late, serving up a winning combination of over 200 varieties of whisky, craft beer, Mac & Wild’s very own pre-bottled cocktails and a variety of Scottish snacks. The bar will also be serving Mac & Wild foodie favorites, including their Venison Scotch Eggs, Haggie Pops, Mac & Cheese and their award winning Veni-Moo Burger.
In addition, the Whisky Bar will host an array of experiential whisky experiences ‘Drams in the Dark’, as well as a series of monthly ‘Meat the Maker’ butchery events that will showcase the very best of Scotland’s producers and suppliers.
The Shooting Range, located in the Whisky Bar, is kitted out with two virtual shooting lanes, each equipped with state-of-the-art virtual shooting systems and replica shotguns. The lanes accommodate groups from two to 40 people, making it a great location for group gatherings, corporate outings, stags, hens, and for those looking to let off some steam from the hectic city life. The Shooting Range lanes are available to book by the hour, from Monday to Saturday between 12pm and 11pm, at the price of £60 per hour per lane.
A highlight of the launch is the ‘Drams in the Dark’ whisky experiences, curated in partnership with Mac & Wild and renowned Scottish whisky connoisseur, author and consultant, Blair Bowman. Each masterclass will take guests on a multi-sensory experience in complete darkness, heightening the senses and flavours of each whisky. Tickets cost £40 and include pairing canapes.
