Albion and East Group have revealed plans to expand by opening Cnova Hall on the 18th September 2017. This news comes after the successful opening of Martello Hall in Hackney recently. The new location for Albion and East Group will hopefully be an exciting new addition to the food and drink spots in Brixton.
Canova Hall has been designed for Albion and East Group by Red Deer and has been influenced by the heritage of the existing building. The location will be split over the basement and ground floor levels and will offer a space where the old market style canteen merges with the grand food halls and markets of the past. Canova Hall will create a workspace that is relaxed and will offer the opportunity of hot desking as well as great access to the wi-fi and coffee on offer throughout the day.
The menu that has been created for Canova focuses on the use of natural fuel. Therefore on offer from the all-wood oven is a selection of pizzas and pastas that are made fresh each day at the restaurant. The special oven has been imported from Modena in Italy and, with the focus of the menu being on good quality but simple food, the 48 hour fermented pizza dough and homemade pastas will allow visitors to enjoy simple but high quality meals.
There will also be a cocktail trolley on offer for guests, stocked with gins and all of the necessary ingredients to allow customers to make their own drinks. Alternatively there is a Book a Bartender service in which a range of creative cocktails will be whipped up for you to try at your table. Albion and East have a taste for gin and after fine tuning their distilling skills at Martello Hall in their on-site gin distillery, the Group have decided to introduced another tailor made still to their new site. The new still will be larger than the one installed at Martello Hall and will be shipped from the US. This larger equipment will allow bigger batches of gin to be made, with Canova Gin and Martello Gin on sale at both sites.
