Last Monday, the 25th of September 2017, saw the Michelin starred Bohemia in Jersey receive the highest accolade of five AA rosettes. This amazing award was given to the restaurant at a glittering ceremony which took place at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel. It is great news that the Michelin starred restaurant has received such a prestigious rating, with only a small number of dining locations in the UK have been awarded five AA rosettes.
Bohemia is now included in an elite group of restaurants including The Fat Duck, Helene Darroze at The Connaught and Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. It is thought that there are only 15 restaurants in the UK who hold the five AA rosettes accolade. Bohemia is also the only the only restaurant in the Channel Islands to receive this award.
Five AA rosettes are only awarded to restaurants where it is felt that they cooking has reached the pinnacle of achievement and an extra dimension is added to the dish through the flawless balance of flavours and combinations. It is great news for Bohemia to the be given such a coveted award. The Head Chef is Steve Smith and has expressed his delight at this enormous accomplishment. The team working in the kitchen of Bohemia focus on delivering unique and innovative menus for their customers to enjoy with having an amazing dining experience.
Bohemia has recently been ranked as the 11th best restaurant across the entire of the UK. The restaurant was given this ranking in the Good Food Guide 2018. Bohemia has also been ranked as 42nd in Square Meal’s Top 100 Best Restaurants 2017. The location is the only one in the Channel Islands to be featured on both of these best restaurant lists. The Jersey restaurant has also received the esteemed two-star award in the World’s Best Wine List Awards 2017 as well as the Award for Excellence for their outstanding wine selection in Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Wine List Awards.
