Sitcoms are often so binge-worthy that it’s hard to resist going back for yet another episode of heartwarming storylines, hilarious antics, and familiar, quirky characters we care deeply about.
Thanks to the dominance of streaming platforms, viewers are spoilt for choice when choosing which sitcom to binge next. However, as part of their new report, the team at Betway has discovered which sitcoms come out on top for their combined IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes ratings, to help viewers decide which iconic shows need to be added to their binge-list.
In the report, the team gave each show’s IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes rating a score out of 10 and combined these scores to discover which shows have the highest overall combined rating out of 20.
The results show that It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has the highest combined IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes rating. The show is rated 8.8/10 on IMDb which scores 8.7/10 in the report, and 94/100 on Rotten Tomatoes which scores 7.9/10 in the report, giving the show an overall score of 16.6/20.
Next up in second place is The Office (UK) which has an IMDb rating of 8.5/10 which scores 4.7/10 in the report. But the show scores an incredible 97/100 on Rotten Tomatoes, which is 10/10 in the report and gives a combined score of 14.7/20.
Parks and Recreation appears to have the third-highest IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes ratings. The report found that the show has an IMDb rating of 8.6/10 which scores 7.3/10 in the report. The show achieves 93/100 on Rotten Tomatoes which scores 6.4/10 in the report, giving the sitcom a combined rating score of 13.7/20.
Making up the top five are The Office (US) which has a combined IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes score of 12.1/20 in the report, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine which has a combined score of 11.9/30 in the report.
