Between the 16th and the 19th November, the Taste of London; The Festive Edition will be returning. Taking place at the Tobacco Dock, a Grade 1 listed Victorian location, the festive edition of the capital’s finest culinary celebration will take place in order to showcase the thriving restaurant scene in London.
The culinary festival has been curated in order to celebrate all that is on offer in the capital as a global hotspot for exciting and innovative food. The festival will highlight the work of the best chefs, the best restaurants and the best gourmet producers in the city.
At the Taste of London: The Festive Edition food festival, visitors will be able to enjoy a range of festive tipples as well as taking part in a range of hands-on masterclasses that will teach them how to create impressive dishes and shake up delicious cocktails in preparation for the party season. At the festival there will be more than 100 of the UK’s finest gourmet producers for visitors to sample and shop from. The Taste of London festival is the perfect way to get you into the festive spirit and kick off the season in style.
This year’s festival will highlight a range of talented chefs that work in the city as a reflection of London’s reputation for being a culinary capital. A range of popular heroes of modern cuisine such as Ollie Dabbous of Henrietta, Jackson Boxer of Brunswick House and many more will be on hand to create a range of spectacular dishes on stage at the AEG Taste Theatre which has been planned in association with Etihad Airways. The events at the theatre will be hosted by the food journalist and Instagram star Rosie Birkett.
The Taste of London festival have also announced that they will be hosting the world’s largest cheese competition, The World Cheese Awards 2017, for the first time ever. The Awards will be celebrating their 30th anniversary and will bring together more than 3,000 cheeses from around the world. A total of 260 judges will be on hand to crown the world’s best cheese.
