The alternative festive experience in London has arrived for this year’s winter season. Winterville is now up and running and will be open until the 1st January. The festival features Street Feast, Backyard Cinema, Plonk Golf, the first ever ice rink to be created in Clapham, a Twistee Wheels Roller Disco and the Wasted Chic Christmas Market.
The pop up event is now open in Clapham Common and will be open to visit up until the 1st January. On offer will be entertainment for all ages as well as opportunities to Christmas shop from the alternative Christmas market. There will be sensational food on offer at Street Feast as well as an opportunity to watch screenings of the Christmas classics as a part of Backyard Cinema’s Winter Night Garden. The Street Feast are will include some of the best street food traders operating in London such as Up In My Grill, Mother Clucker, Petare and SE Cakery plus many more.
Visitors to Winterville will also be able to play crazy golf on the UV-powered Plonk Golf course while also having a chance to ride on the Big Wheel. The Spiegeltent open in Clapham common will also have on offer a range of free entertainment including a weekend set from Norman Jay MBE as well as free shows for Guilty Pleasures, Ultimate Power, South London Soul Train and much more.
There will also be ticketed shows on offer at Winterville including the Cirque du Cabaret and Mexican Wrestling. On Sunday nights Clapham Common will see Sink The Pink Presents The Merry Marys. There will be The Twisted Wheels Roller Disco whi9ch will include nights from 2 Bears, Erol Alkan’s Disco 3000 and Stevie Wonderland as well as a range of other throwback events.
With Kids entertainment such as Santa’s Workshop, the Ice Rink, cinema, fairground, roller disco and a Tea Dance for Little People to name a few on offer, Children can enjoy the festive magic of Winterville too.
