Emmeline’s Lounge at Conrad London St James is launching a Royal Afternoon Tea, created by Executive Pastry Chef Diana Sedlakova, in honour of The Royal Wedding and a summer full of regal celebrations. The menu will be available from the 14th of May until the 31st of August.
The Royal Afternoon Tea features British sandwiches such as Cucumber, cream cheese and chive on black rye bread; Hereford roast beef, creamed horseradish and watercress on pain de mie and Severn & Wye oak-smoked salmon and lemon dill crème fraîche on wholemeal.
The jewels in the crown are represented by Diana’s exquisite cakes and pastries. A Hazelnut and banana veil sits elegantly alongside Diamond rings flavoured with tonka bean and strawberry and a delightful Lemon and blueberry Battenberg. Guests will also have the chance to try a Lemon and elderflower lollipop, inspired by the flavours of Harry and Meghan’s wedding cake. To complete the afternoon tea, fresh scones, clotted cream, strawberry jam and a zesty lemon curd will be offered on the table.
The price for the Royal Afternoon Tea will be £35pp. If paired with the Tea Collection, it is priced at £38pp, with a glass of G H Mumm Champagne or a cocktail of choice it is £42pp, and the Champagne Royal Afternoon Tea for two, including a bottle of G H Mumm Champagne is £100.
Furthermore, Conrad London St James is also offering the Propose like a Prince engagement package to support those wishing to follow Prince Harry’s lead. The package includes a luxurious 2-night stay, Royal Afternoon Tea and horse-drawn carriage tour.
Two Royal Wedding cocktails will also be available from the Blue Boar Bar this May, allowing guests to toast the happy couple. English Groom will combine tea-infused gin with Pimm’s and lemon, whilst American Bride will be a fruity blend of Bourbon, lime, orange bitters and cherry liqueur.
