108 Pantry had announced the launch of its English Country Garden Afternoon Tea, which was created by Executive Chef Russell Ford and designed to encapsulate an idyllic English country garden setting. The official launch will take place on the 1st of March, the first day of spring.
The new menu will capture the essence of this season, taking inspiration from authentic British cuisine and using ever changing seasonal ingredients. Some of the highlights of the menu include: Coronation chicken tartlet, Smoked salmon served on Guinness bread; Poppy seed and orange blossom and plain homemade scones all served with Devonshire clotted cream, Rhubarb jam and orange curd. The sweets include: Lavender panna cotta served with sparkling wine jelly and Chocolate and rose opera cake.
Guests will be transported to a tranquil English Country Garden with the help of the grass meadow serving boards, terracotta pots, edible flowers, fork and spade fashioned cutlery and surroundings adorned in freshly cut flowers. The Afternoon Tea will be served alongside 108 Pantry’s assortment of rare teas and four English Sparkling wines. The wine selection includes: Sussex, Nyetimber Classic Cuvée; Kent, Gusbourne Estate Brut Rosé; Sussex, Ridgeview ‘Cavendish’ Brut 2014 and Hush Heath Estate, Balfour. A special Rhubarb Mimosa will also be available for £11.
The Executive Chef Russell Ford made sure that everyone can enjoy the nation’s favourite traditions, so he created both a Classic and Gluten-Free afternoon tea offering. Both menus are priced at £32 per person when paired with a selection of Rare Teas or £42 with a glass of English sparkling wine.
