CAFFÈ NERO TEAMS UP WITH CELEBRITY STYLIST GAYLE RINKOFF TO CREATE AUTUMN/WINTER 2019 FASHION LOOKS GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT .
Premium Coffee House Unveils Vibrant New Artisan Menu
The stylistic nature of food has long been a source of inspiration for fashion across the globe. This year is no exception as premium coffee house Caffè Nero is celebrating the launch of its biggest food transformation in 22 years by partnering with leading fashion and celebrity stylist, Gayle Rinkoff, to create a series of food-inspired autumn/winter 2019 looks in the run up to London Fashion Week (13 – 19 September). The looks will be sure to show fashionistas that tapping into the latest trends is not just about what you wear, but also what you eat.
The ‘ready to eat’ looks are inspired by the freshly-prepared vibrant new artisanal food menu, which is set to transform coffee shop sector food, and takes design cues from the hottest fashion trend predications for autumn/winter 2019. Each look has been carefully pieced together by Gayle, who has drawn inspiration from both the colourful ingredients and array of colours featured on the catwalk, using a mixture of high-street and designer clothes.
The six key looks including ‘The Vibrant Vogue’ and ‘The Raspberry Runway’ were showcased at Caffè Nero on Long Acre, Covent Garden – at the UK’s first ever catwalk in a high street coffee shop.
Gayle Rinkoff, celebrity and fashion stylist, said: “From Prada to Zara, the world of food with its rich textures and vibrant colours has inspired fashion designers for generations and 2019 is no different. I love a challenge and it has been great fun working with Caffè Nero to team food with fashion. The fresh new menu both looks and tastes amazing –what better way to bring it to life than through the lens of fashion. I hope these key looks will inspire fashion lovers to live, breathe and eat the up-and-coming trends ahead of London Fashion Week!”
Will Stratton-Morris, CEO at Caffè Nero UK, said: “Our stylish new food offering has been crafted using the highest quality, Italian-sourced ingredients to ensure our food quality mirrors our premium and award-winning, hand crafted coffee, superior store design and first-class service, whilst continuing to strengthen the premium nature of the brand. To mark the launch of the transformational new menu, which is a real step change for coffee shop food, and following months of hard work, we wanted to have some fun and are delighted with Gayle’s creative interpretation of the stunning new dishes. From colourful open salad bowls to artisanal sausage rolls, vegan salads and light and indulgent sweets – we’re confident that the new menu will make every day food occasions exceptional for our customers and give great value for money!”
The vibrant new menu aims to elevate ‘every day’ eating occasions with a breadth of superior dishes, which inject colour, variety and flavour to food across the coffee shop sector. The menu is the biggest transformation of Caffè Nero’s food offer in 22 years and features 14 delicious new freshly prepared products, including both hot and cold deli and sweet options. Available in stores now, with prices starting from just £1.90, the new sweet and savoury deli options will complement Caffè Nero’s more traditional food offering, such as the classic sandwich range, which remains on the menu.
