Mr Cooper’s Golden Boy Dimitar Tanev is to compete in the 2016 Gold Service Scholarship Regional Final alongside twenty-seven of the region’s most talented Front of House Professionals. Chef de Rang at Manchester’s Mr Cooper’s House & Garden, twenty-three year old Dimitar will undergo a gruelling assessment under the watchful eye of critically acclaimed service professionals including Willy Bauer, Silvano Giraldin and John Davey. The event, set to take place on the 30th November at the world-renowned Langham Hotel in London is the second stage of an intense four stage process.
Accrediting his recent success to his experience at Mr Cooper’s House & Garden, Dimitar recites the restaurant’s tagline ‘Stay true to your roots’, insisting the secret to Mr Cooper’s is quality service delivered with care and respect: “When service is right the customer feels something extra, something that cannot just come from food and this is what makes them want to come back and also tell their friends. Hospitality is the key to Mr Cooper’s.” Let’s not forget nationally acclaimed Chef Simon Rogan’s imaginative menu and the restaurant’s unique decor inspired by Mr Cooper himself, whose house and famous gardens occupied the site in 1819. Restaurant General Manager Fernando Marques says: “The passion, enthusiasm and commitment Dimitar has shown to his vocation should act as an inspiration to other young people looking to make a career for themselves. The team at Mr Cooper’s wish him the very best of luck.”
