The popular Mexican Restaurant Chain, Chipotle has managed to create and area online which will allow those with dietary restrictions and requirements to look at clearly organised information about the ingredients used and ways in which to customize a meal so that it is appropriate.
The Mexican Grill chin has six restaurants located in London alone, with a number of other locations in the UK and worldwide. The company has decided to launch the dietary options page in order to allow their diners the chance to make the meal that they want, and avoid any problematic ingredients. This will mean that the restaurant will appeal to a wider market by including those that have more specific needs.
In more typical circumstances, Chipotle can offer more than 60,000 different ingredient combinations to diners to choose from. It is thought that the new online section will allow people to be able to choose the right combination to suite their specific needs. The new online tool that is being offered by Chipotle mainly focuses on six of the more common dietary requirements: gluten free, dairy free, high protein, vegetarian, vegan and paleo. The online platform will offer diners that are using it the best combinations to meet their needs and flag any options that they may need to avoid. It has been said that there are a number of different meal options that are suggested as part of the dietary section for the diners that are unsure about what they are wanting to eat.
The online tool also tells the diner that if there are any other requirements while preparing the food, such as a gloves change, then it will be taken care of if they ask as they order. It is great to see more popular or mainstream restaurants catering for a more diverse range of dietary specifications.
