Yesterday it was announced that Jamie’s Italian has selected Yumpingo in order to utilise their live customer feedback service. Yumpingo is a food intelligence platform that has been introduced into the hospitality market in order to use the power of customer feedback in order to shape a restaurant’s menu development.
Yumpingo is the first service of its kind, using cutting-edge technology and data collection for menu development. The aim of the service is to allow restaurants an unparalleled insight into guests’ opinions about the menu. With this feedback, restaurants are than able to build a more successful menu, as they are more aware of opportunities for improvement.
In order to deliver the feedback, guests are asked to complete a one-minute online review at the end of their meal. The survey is completed on a restaurant branded tablet that will be used at Jamie’s Italian instead of the traditional bill presenters. Yumpingo will then use their platform to break down the information received in order to create actionable insights in regards to the dish.
Yumpingo has been working with Jamie’s Italian locations in Piccadilly, Stratford and Victoria in order to trial the service, but now the launch will see the device used across the brand. During the trial, the food intelligence platform was able to capture and analyse more than 3,000 food and service review for analysis. These reviews had come from real guests, per restaurant per month. The data provided has allowed the food team to develop and introduce a new menu with certainty about the success of the product.
Following the announcement that Jamie’s Italian have selected Yumpingo, one of the leading restaurants in the UK has also announced that they will be using the platform to assist them with menu development. Wahaca has also signed up to the Yumpingo platform. It has been revealed that Wahaca has been working in collaboration with Yumpingo in order to explore a range of innovative ideas that are expected on the market later in the year.
