Greggs and OpenTable have teamed up for a Valentine’s Day event that offers couples the chance to enjoy a candlelit dinner in selected stores across the UK. The four course special menu will be full of Greggs’ delights – seasoned pork puff pastry sliders, love heart garnished bakes, and a brochette of doughnuts. The food will be all washed down with glasses of prosecco.
Five of Greggs’ branches will be transformed into restaurants for the night of the 14th, offering a full experience completed by roses, mood lightning and music, white linen tablecloths, and candelabras. These stores are: London at Stockwell, 312 Clapham Road, Greater London, SW9 9AE, Manchester at City Tower, 15a City Tower, Manchester, M1 4BT, Glasgow at Argyle Street, 172 Argyle Street, Glasgow, G3 9ND, Newcastle at Grainger Street, 73/75 Grainger Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 5JE, and Cardiff at Queen Street, 34 Queen Street, Cardiff, CF10 2BW.
The menu for the Valentine’s evening dinner consists of Starter, which is a composition of canapes such as béchamel toasted honey cured ham square, katsu tortilla wrap, Mexican chicken chipotle spoon, seasoned pork and puff pastry slider, steak and blue cheese en croute, and tomato gazpacho; Main, which comes with your choice of signature Greggs puff pastry parcel, accompanied by oven roasted spiced potato slices and a garnish of fresh Apollo and spinach leaves with sunblush tomatoes; Dessert, which is a brochette of miniature doughnuts paired with a rich butterscotch dipping sauce; and Petit fours, Belgian dark chocolate brownie, raspberry and almond bite, and caramel shortbread, and freshly grounded Fairtrade coffee to end the meal.
“We’re delighted to offer this experience for fans for one night only – whether they’re on a first date or have been married for 30 years, we can guarantee it will be a night to remember,” said a Greggs spokesperson.
The meal will cost £15 for two people and will be available only on the 14th of February at 7PM. Those who wish to book can start doing so on the 7th of February exclusively via OpenTable.
