Mermaid Gin, Rum and Vodka are produced in Ryde at the Isle of Wight Distillery, the first and only distillery on the island. Mermaid spirits are shaped by the distillery’s stunning surroundings and the unique character of the Isle of Wight all whilst minimising waste using ethically sourced and often locally sourced ingredients to hand-craft a range of smooth, complex spirits, with a hint of sea air.
The distillery has recently launched four new gift packs which are now available to purchase from the distillery website www.isleofwightdistillery.com just in time for Christmas.
This new gift pack includes a 5 cl bottle of the recently launched Mermaid Spiced Rum along with a 5 cl bottle of Mermaid Salt Vodka and Mermaid Gin. All three expressions are smooth yet complex with a hint of sea air, made using wild-foraged and locally harvested ingredients.

Beautifully presented in a plastic-free gift box, the Mermaid Zest Gin Gift pack includes a 70 cl bottle along with two gold-patterned tumblers.
Mermaid Zest Gin is subtly enhanced with grapefruit and Cascade hops and gently infused with Island bergamot, lemon zest and wild-foraged, coastal rosemary to produce a light yet complex zesty tone with a subtle sweetness and herbal notes. Mermaid Zest Gin features ‘dew of the sea’, coastal rosemary foraged from the Islands’ s shores. It is also made with fruits grown in the Victorian walled garden of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s Osborne House.

Mermaid Spiced Rum is the latest spirit to be added to the Isle of Wight Distillery’s spirits portfolio. Launched to consumers in March this year it is now also available in an elegant plastic-free gift box which includes a 70 cl bottle of Mermaid Spiced Rum along with two gold patterned tumblers.
Mermaid Spiced Rum marries Caribbean rums from Trinidad and the Dominican Republic with local fruits and spices from the Isle of Wight. Mermaid. The Caribbean rums are infused at the Isle of Wight Distillery with their signature botanical rock samphire, fresh white cherries, apricots, honey from their beehives and black salt from the Island’s coastal flood tides. The rum is gently spiced with local holy grass, cassia and vanilla resulting in a smooth yet complex rum with a hint of sea air, delicate caramel notes and vibrant fruity spice. A tropical island blend made for sipping on island time.

Now available in a plastic-free gift box, the Mermaid Salt Vodka gift set includes the mixologist’s favourite, Mermaid Salt Vodka 70cl with two mermaid-crested tumblers.
Mermaid Salt Vodka is grain distilled, with a subtle addition of Wight Salt rock sea salt for smoothness. Each batch is hand-crafted in a column still and then blended with the Isle of Wight spring water in small batches. A delicate vein of salt creates a back note that makes Mermaid Salt Vodka an essential ingredient and ideal flavour enhancer for adventurous cocktails, or a classic dirty martini.
