Your Fork, launching June 18th 2020, aims to redefine dining – providing a platform for
restaurants, chefs, sommeliers and mixologists to offer customers live 1-2-1 classes and
experiences online.
• Gives restaurants a new channel to support them through social distancing
• An opportunity for furloughed or laid-off hospitality workers to continue working and
earning through the platform
• Goes beyond food delivery or cook-at-home boxes – an interactive experience for
customers that brings restaurant cooking and dining into their home

As lock-down eases and restaurants get ready to reopen their doors, restaurateurs are racing to
revamp their business models to find a way to operate safely within social distancing rules and
return swiftly to profitability.
Delivery and takeaway services will form a vital part of most establishments’ offerings – but these
fall far short of the restaurant experience for the customer, and the high costs associated with
third party apps mean they cannot hope to replace the revenue lost to empty tables.
Conceived as “Etsy for restaurants” or “AirBnB for dining experiences”, Your Fork is a new online
platform launching in June that allows restaurants and individual ‘experts’ the chance to sell
unique 1-2-1 live dining experiences delivered by video.
The restaurant sets the date, time and lessons their experts can offer, and set their own prices.
Customers select and book online, and can collect ingredients from the restaurant if they are
local, or buy from local stores from a list provided. Classes are delivered live and are fully
interactive, allowing the chance for questions and conversation throughout.
Founder Peter Ratcliffe said of the launch: “Our aim with Your Fork is to provide restaurants with a
lifeline – a chance to generate extra revenue, and a new way to interact with their customers. It
also creates an exciting new way for customers to support their favorite restaurants while
learning new skills at home.”
Head chef and Founding Partner Simon Conyers adds “this is a time of unique challenge to the
hospitality industry and those who work in it. By creating Your Fork, we hope to keep restaurants
open and chefs working, and to teach cooking skills to home chefs around the world”
Your Fork launches on Thursday 18th June, but restaurants, individual experts and potential
customers can already register online at www.yourfork.co.uk
