A new artisanal bakery and sharing plates restaurant will soon be opening in London’s Shoreditch. The new concept has been created by Chef Arnaud Stevens who has in the past worked with a range of well known Chefs such as Pierre Koffmann, Gordon Ramsay , Gary Rhodes and Jason Atherton. The new artisanal bakery and sharing plate restaurant will be joining arguably one of the trendiest locations in London; with Shoreditch having a reputation as a foodie destination with cereal cafes and street food trucks to suit a variety of preferences.
Arnaud has classical French training, but also has a range of international influences which can be seen on the menu of his new venture, PLATE Restaurant, Bar and Bake. It has been announced that restaurant will occupy the site previously used by Tonic and Remedy, a restaurant situated in the trendy M by Montcalm Hotel in Shoreditch. PLATE will replace the Tonic & Remedy restaurant and will hopefully add an atmosphere of shoreditch cool to the five star hotel.
On top of the restaurant there will also be PLATE BAKE, which will be an artisanal bakery situated a floor below the restaurant and within the M by Montcalm Hotel. PLATE BAKE will be a local bakery to be enjoyed by Shoreditch locals, who will have the opportunity to pop in for a snack, afternoon tea or a freshly brewed coffee by Musetti. The bakery will also offer a range of Arnaud Stevens’ signature products such as his marmite bread. The restaurant menu offers a relaxed and fuss free selection of food that intend to make guests feel like they are at home.
Arnaud believes that sharing platters are the perfect way to bring people together, with a number of different sharing plates available on the PLATE menu. There are also a selection of snack-sized dishes and small plates as well as full portions and sweet plates, offering something to suit everyone’s moods, eating habits and taste.
