London Michelin Star Chefs Chris and Jeff Galvin have been rewarded by CNN Travel, which named their restaurant in Dubai one of the top 14 additions to the global culinary world. All 14 restaurants are on the ‘culinary must-try list for those keen to get in first at the hottest tables around the world’.
Although Galvin Dubai has as neighbours other greats such as Alain Ducasse, Pierre Gagnaire, and Jean Georges, it is the only restaurant from the United Arab Emirates to be featured on the list. The restaurant is set across two floors of exotic foliage and rich colours that evoke the Mediterranean style and feeling. The cuisine reflects the delicious flavours of the Mediterranean, while remaining true to the sophisticated cooking style of the two brothers.
“We are honoured to have Galvin Dubai featured amongst these other spectacular establishments around the world. Jeff and I pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences for our guests and to be recognised as a global leader is testament to the hard work from ourselves and the team,” commented co-owner and Chef Patron, Chris Galvin.
The Michelin starred chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin have founded in 2005 a family run collection of French Restaurants called Galvin Restaurants. Each one of them is unique in style, but they all offer high quality cuisine, served in luxurious surroundings by professional front of house. In the UK, they own restaurants in London and Edinburgh and three of them were featured in the top 100 in the recent Restaurant Magazine Top 100 National Restaurants Awards.
The brothers are well known for their culinary expertise and their skills to operate restaurants at the highest level. In 2010 Chris and Jeff were awarded the prestigious Caterer & Hotelkeeper ‘Catey’ for Independent Restaurateurs of the Year, while in 2012 they were listed in the Top 100 Most Powerful People in Hospitality and ranking number seven in the ‘Chefs’ category.
