The programme for Shaping the Future, UKHospitality’s annual conference, has been unveiled and its agenda is set to address significant themes facing the sector, such as the state of the nation, challenges and opportunities and how, together with the government, the hospitality industry can safeguard future success.
Attending the event will be 50 speakers from across the hospitality and political world, including key opinion formers and influencers from the government, Yo! Sushi, IHG, Be At One, and TripAdvisor. In addition, more than 500 business leaders from across the sector will discuss the opportunities, will reflect on the current outlook and explore the potential for collaboration with the government.
“Building on the success of the British Hospitality Association’s Hospitality and Tourism Summit and the ALMR’s Spring Conference, this event will amalgamate the best and most timely discussions from the accommodation, food service, leisure, pubs and bars sectors and dissect what the future has in store for our sector,” said Kate Nicholls, UKHospitality Chief Executive.
“We have a dynamic line up of topics and speakers who will provide specialist high level insight on their key areas. As UKHospitality’s first industry-wide event it will be the perfect setting for us to detail our plans on how we will champion the interests of the UK’s hospitality businesses and bolster our influence within Government to make hospitality a policy priority and ensure a prosperous future for our industry,” she added.
Shaping the Future brings together the insights of political officials, business leaders and UKHospitality, which will lay the groundwork to facilitate government’s understanding of the industry, its economic contribution, and how it can support the UK’s third largest private sector employer of 2.9 million people.
The association’s event will take place on the 9th of July and will be hosted by Principal Hotel Company at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
