Iceland Foods has revealed a surprising Christmas sensation that they expect to steal the spotlight this Christmas: lobster.
According to the retailer, lobster is fast becoming one of their best-selling products at Christmas, as families look to make savings on luxurious items to elevate their festive dinners.
This year, Iceland has increased its lobster range and is preparing for an even bigger Christmas crustacean craze, predicting to sell more than 40,000 lobster products this season.
In 2023, customers shocked the supermarket by ditching their traditional turkey dinners for a lavish lobster feast, with Iceland’s Canadian Lobster Tails and Whole Cooked Lobster flying off the shelves.
This year, Iceland have introduced three exciting new lobster options to add a touch of luxury to your festive spread: Whole Split Lobster Thermidor, Tempura Lobster Tails and an XL Whole Cooked Lobster.
Paul Dhaliwal, Chief Commercial Officer at Iceland Foods said: “Our customers have always been adventurous, but we never expected such a craze for crustaceans over Christmas! This season, it seems everyone’s pushing the boat out for a bit of luxury with lobster taking centre stage.”

Iceland’s premium lobster range starts from £9.00 and is part of the full 2024 Christmas range which launches in-store and online at Iceland and The Food Warehouse on the12th November and ready for pre-order on the 11th November.
