Roux at Parliament Square, London, was opened in 2010 by Michel Roux Jr and since then it has become renowned for its contemporary European menus from Head Chef Steve Groves, relaxed and stylish setting, and impeccable service.
Chef Steve constantly reinvents classic dishes, using seasonal produce sourced from the very best suppliers across the UK that drive constant innovation in the menu. Guests can enjoy starters such as Dorset crab with apple, fermented chilli and dashi and Pork cheek, carrot, ale, and Mangalitsa black pudding; and mains such as Test Valley trout with leek, pine nuts and watercress may sit alongside Westcombe Ricotta gnudi with hen of the woods, salsify and egg yolk and Dry-aged duck with beetroot, chicory and Yukon Gold potato. The desserts are innovative and perfectly balanced so that they provide a satisfying conclusion to any meal at Roux at Parliament Square, with options including Pear with pistachio, honey and crème fraiche, or Guanaja chocolate with banana, peanut and yoghurt. Lunch menus start from £42 and dinner from £59 per person.
Last year, the restaurant underwent an extensive refurbishment led by Rosendale Design. The space now reflects Steve’s innovative menus due to the contemporary influences blended with the building’s historic Georgian style. The beautiful Grade II listed building, with its elegant 1920s feel, has been enhanced with dark wood panelling and a luxurious colour scheme of teal and burnt orange, whilst the impressive wine display spanning the back wall creates a striking focal point for the room.
Moreover, the Drawing Room now has a display of original architectural sketches of the building itself and many of the surrounding Westminster landmarks, embedding the restaurant within its iconic London location.
