Salt House Tapas in Liverpool has announced a new summer menu that guarantees a journey to the sunny, Mediterranean Spain. The urban tapas bar is the perfect spot for a chilled beer, as well as traditional Spanish small plates or snacks with a modern twist.
Visitors can enjoy a light lunch of the finest Spanish Charcuterie, such as accord fed Iberico, chorizo and manchego shavings, alongside fresh sourdough, oil and PX vinegar. Highlights from the delicious new sharing plates include the sizzling garlic prawns, hake pil pil with celeriac puree, caramelised cauliflower and baby leek; Stornoway black pudding with Serrano jam, shallot cream and quail egg; and the paprika roasted chicken wings with honey and chimichurri sauce.
Vegetarians will also have their choices and can indulge into tempura cauliflower with saffron labneh and salsa rosso, highlighting the Moorish influence on Andalusian cooking, while padron peppers with flaked sea salt and patatas bravas will keep classic tapas fans content. For something extra special, opt for the torched figs, roasted grapes, PX onions and honey ricotta served on sourdough.
The dessert menu features new sweet treats like a refreshing lemon cheesecake with raspberry sorbet or a classic Catalan Crema infused with orange and cardamom.
Meanwhile, the drinks menu has also been refreshed for the summer season and guests can enjoy a Sherry Colada or a Valencian orange infused Liverpool gin from the curated gin bar (best enjoyed alongside Spanish salted almonds, sweet pickled Guindillas chilis or Gordal olives).
