Located in a converted 17th century well house within the pastoral grounds of Winchester’s Grade-II-listed Lainston House, Season expands its offering with Big Green Egg barbecue masterclasses, celebrating the art of live-fire cooking on eggs in their kitchen gardens.
A smoker, grill and an oven, Big Green Egg stands as one of the most versatile barbecue products that has become synonymous with outdoor dining. This partnership commences as Big Green Egg mark their 50th anniversary, with Season Cookery School taking delivery of seven large eggs, two XL eggs and ten mini max eggs, all taking pride and place in Season’s outdoor kitchen, located in the kitchen gardens. Big Green Egg barbecue masterclasses will include smoking, posh barbecue, how to cook the perfect steak and barbecue basics. Giving guests the chance to learn how to master ceramic barbecue cooking in a number of ways, whilst cooking up their own delicious feast. Just some of the menu highlights are Flowerpot beer roast chicken; Cedar plank Chalk Stream trout; smoked baby back pork ribs; dry aged sirloin steaks; Tomahawk steaks, as well as delicious crowd-pleasing accompaniments and sweet treats, all cooked over open flame.
