The Hand & Flowers, the only pub in the UK with two Michelin stars, is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025 with a year-long series of events and special offerings. To mark this milestone, the pub will launch a commemorative ‘Classics’ Menu in January, paying tribute to the dishes that have defined its journey and shaped its reputation over the past two decades.
The ‘Classics’ Menu will feature reimagined versions of iconic dishes that have appeared on The Hand & Flowers’ menu since its opening in 2005. Starters will include Roasted Red Mullet with Preserved Fennel, Pollen, and Sauce Bouillabaisse au Beurre (2016) and Hand & Flowers Warm Gala Pie with “Matson” Spiced Sauce (2016).
For mains, guests can choose from Braised Shin of Beef with Roasted Bone Marrow and ‘H&F’ Carrot (2005) or Butter Roast Cod with Jerusalem Artichoke Purée, Smoked Cod’s Roe, Hazelnuts and Golden Raisins (2009). To complement these dishes, side options like Buttered Hispi Cabbage and Mash Potato will also be available (£7.50 each).
Desserts will round off the meal with indulgent classics such as Tonka Bean Panna Cotta with Poached Rhubarb, Honeycomb and Rhubarb Sorbet (2012) and Warm Pistachio Sponge Cake with Melon Sorbet and Marzipan (2010). Changing throughout the year, the menu will offer three courses for £95.00—an exciting opportunity to experience the culinary excellence that has earned The Hand & Flowers its world-class reputation.
The success of The Hand & Flowers is as much about its incredible team as it is about its food. Alot of the staff have been with the pub for years, forming the backbone of its warm and welcoming atmosphere. Lourdes Dooley, General Manager, has been with the pub for an extraordinary 18 years, while Restaurant Manager Katie Gavin has contributed her expertise for 16 years. Assistant Restaurant Manager Gavin Hills and Waitress Coral Casemore Hills have both been a part of the journey for 14 years, alongside Alex Reilly, PA to Tom and Beth, and Salvatori Sino from the housekeeping team, who have each been with The Hand & Flowers for 13 years. Tom De Keyser, a key member of the team, first joined The Hand & Flowers over a decade ago before leaving to successfully run The Coach, another Tom Kerridge establishment. He returned to The Hand & Flowers four years ago, bringing with him a wealth of expertise from his broader experience within the Tom Kerridge Group. Head of Housekeeping Pina Pau and Managing Director Alan Dooley have also been key to the operation, bringing their passion and dedication for the past 8 years. Together, their commitment and care has created an exceptional environment that feels like home to both guests and staff alike.
The 20th anniversary celebrations will continue throughout 2025, with more exciting activations and surprises planned to mark this incredible milestone. Stay tuned for more information.
