Tom’s Kitchen restaurant in Chelsea has been officially relaunched after an extensive refurbishment. Tom Aikens, the highly-acclaimed British chef, has also introduced an exciting new menu, featuring British small plates, perfect for sharing with family and friends.
Tom’s menu allows the team to take full advantage of the short seasons of some of Britain’s finest produce, such as asparagus, rhubarb, mushrooms, and game. It includes small plates such as Cumbrian beef tartare with black garlic aioli, new season turnips and puffed rice and Charred celeriac, cured duck breast and hazelnuts, which can be followed by sharing dishes like Charred squid, rocket and watercress salsa verde and Spatchcock Norfolk quail with peanut sauce, pickled sweet cucumber and buttermilk. Classic dishes will also be available and guests can choose from Fish pie with cider, leeks and parsley crumb; Chateaubriand with onion tart and peppercorn sauce; and TK Seven-hour slow cooked shoulder of lamb hot pot.
Tom’s Kitchen is dedicated to using UK-based suppliers and local producers, which is reflected in the new menu and the redesigned space of the Chelsea restaurant. Fresh produce and thought-provoking photography of suppliers is proudly displayed to tell the story of the seasonal, local and ethically sourced ingredients used across the Tom’s Kitchen menus, and an open kitchen brings the energy and passion of the chefs into the dining room.
The restaurant is located in a Chelsea townhouse on Cale Street, where every floor has been refurbished. On the ground floor, a new bar has become a focal point of the restaurant for both counter dining and drinks, whilst relaxed window seating has also been introduced. Both the ground floor and first floor dining rooms have been rejuvenated through the introduction of luxurious upholstery and a richer, darker colour scheme, bringing warmth and coziness to the space and contrasting to the signature white tile finish and wooden panelling. Meanwhile the third floor of Tom’s Kitchen Chelsea boasts two beautiful rooms for private dining and intimate events.
