Jason writes, ‘Simply mix a few tablespoons of cocoa powder with a bit of conditioner and apply to clean, dry hair. Allow it to sit for between fifteen and twenty minutes before rinsing it out. The cocoa will give a warm, chocolate-brown tint to your locks.’
Dry Shampoo
In a pinch, cocoa powder can also double as a dry shampoo. ‘Sprinkle a small amount onto your roots and massage it in with your fingertips. The cocoa will absorb excess oil and add volume. Brush or shake out the excess powder, and voila – clean, fresh hair without the water,’ Jason says.
Lip Balm
Cocoa butter is a rich, creamy fat that is solid at room temperature, which makes it perfect for use as a lip balm. Melt it down and mix it with a few other simple ingredients like coconut oil and beeswax to create a luxurious, moisturizing lip balm. The cocoa butter nourishes and protects your lips while leaving a subtle chocolate scent behind.

Jason says, ‘Cocoa nibs are the crushed, roasted cocoa beans used to make chocolate. While they have a bitter, intense chocolate flavor on their own, they can add a unique depth of flavor to savory dishes. Try sprinkling them over chili, barbecue, or even roasted vegetables for a surprising twist.’
Cocktail Garnish
