London’s ultimate lifestyle hotel, art’otel London Hoxton, is launching a series of creative workshops and events to coincide with one of London’s most anticipated design periods, London Design Festival (14th – 22nd September). The hotel will be bolstering its popular art’beat programme, introducing a series of new events that marry culture, fashion, design and technology, in a forward-thinking way.
The series of events are open to the public and hotel guests, who can wander the permanent exhibitions in the gallery space of art’otel London Hoxton, or can book onto the industry, expert-led workshops to garner new skills and experience.
The programme of events runs as follows:
Exhibition: Memory
6th – 10th September 2024
From 6th – 10th September, members of the public and hotel guests can access the Memory exhibition free of charge. Memory is a digital art exhibition by the London-based ArtSect Gallery, dedicated to models in the fashion industry and the art of dance.
This advanced exhibition uses Gaussian Splat technology, AI and traditional 3D methodology, to create a winding landscape and the snapshot of a singular moment in time. The figures twist, blur and turn characters and spaces as if the viewer is waking through a dream.
Curated by Christian John Dyson, with accompanying immersive soundscapes from Andrew Beaton and choreography from Ethan Samuel Jacobs with Bex3, this piece reconstructs visions and creates a fully immersive experience that is not to be missed.

Workshops: Cross Pollinator Project – Multidisciplinary Portfolio Review Workshop
15th September 2024
On the 15th September, art’otel London Hoxton will host four sessions of workshops for arts industry students and graduates who are looking for a portfolio review from high-level experts of the field. This will conclude with a thought-led panel discussion.
Each session is suitable for artists, designers, architects and creatives that want quick professional feedback on organising their pieces, their content, presentation formats, ideas to improve, or guidance to develop ideas. A session is free to attend, and priority will be given to students.
Outside of scholar applications, other professionals are also encouraged to apply for a session. The team believe creativity is not bound to one profession rather an ecosystem where collaborative thinking can foster new ideas. Perhaps there are personal projects applicants are working on—book designs, art installations, photography works for example. This can be an ideal chance to present it to the reviewers.
A professional portfolio is required, and we recommend a sample of 10 pieces to bring to the workshop for review.
