Goldies, a wood-fired culinary experience, is now open in Kingly Court, Soho. Marking the debut of a new dining venture by the team behind the beloved local bistro Blanchette, Goldies‘ is set to bring a distinctive smoky flavor to the heart of London’s West End; with a focus on wood-fired cooking, locally sourced produce, all served in a warm atmosphere enhanced by a carefully curated soundtrack.
Inspired by global adventures and decades of culinary experience, the Goldies menu offers a mix of small and large plates, perfect for sharing with friends and loved ones. Highlights include BBQ Isle of Skye Langoustine, BBQ Corn with Cafè de Paris Butter, Merguez Scotch Egg with Harissa Mayo, and Marinated Baby Chicken with Mojo Picante and Smoked Yogurt, all complemented by signature twice-fried Goldies‘ hand-cut frites. The wood-fired cooking process uses a combination of three types of wood, infusing each dish with a rich, smoky flavour. Head Chef and Co-Founder, Maxime Alary will craft seasonal updates to the menu, providing something new and exciting for guests to enjoy throughout the year.
Located off Carnaby Street within the bustling Kingly Court, Goldies will cater to a diverse crowd of shoppers, tourists, workers, and residents, all drawn to the area’s dynamic culinary offerings which also includes the likes of Darjeeling Express, Donia, and Imad’s Syrian Kitchen. The 1,100 sq ft venue features a design that blends the timeless appeal of a classic bistro with modern, contemporary twists. The open kitchen counter is the focal point of the space, allowing diners to sit on stools and witness the dramatic flair of wood-fired cooking up close. The main dining area exudes a calm elegance with its neutral tones and simple material palette, while the bar area offers a vibrant contrast with bold pops of colour.
Maxime and Yannis Alary, Co-Founders of Goldies, commented: “After spending a decade in the West End, it’s a special moment for us to open our new concept, Goldies. This key anchor unit on Kingly Court’s ground floor means we will benefit from the dedicated visitors to the foodie heart of Soho, as well as shoppers on Carnaby Street seeking high quality dining as part of their experience. We have carefully curated every detail of the Goldies experience, from the food to the ambiance, and we cannot wait to share it with the visitors who make this area so vibrant. We hope to make Goldiesa must-visit destination, like so many of our neighbours who call Kingly Court home.”
