KETTLE® have signed their first commercial facing chef, Rachel Khoo. The partnership also marks the hand cooked chips brand’s first female chef in support of their mission to grow the category.
A best-selling author, TV favourite and with a reputation for sheer culinary excellence, Rachel has been enlisted to bring even more style, flavour and Krunch to KETTLE® via Media, NPD and Digital touchpoints for the brand.
Speaking on the news, Rachel Khoo said: ‘I’m delighted to be joining the KETTLE® family and bringing my flavours from around the world to KETTLE® brand fans. Their commitment to hand cooked gourmet greatness with passion and care sits perfectly with my style of cooking and I cannot wait to share even more with you all throughout 2024.’
The rest of the year is set to be powerful with Rachel in tow, as she supports new flavour launches to consumers that will excite gourmet pallets, with the credible and globally recognised skill set of Rachel who will be on Australian Bake Off throughout June, July and August 2024.
Michael Impong, Chief Marketing Officer at KETTLE®, said: ‘We’ve made a commitment to grow the category and investing in a commercial chef is a priority to ensure retailers know our commitment to increased marketing in 2024 is real. We’re very excited about this initiative and can’t wait to see the impact.’
The collaboration will see the launch of The Kettle Khoo Academy, a mentoring programme for women seeking a career in gourmet food. As women contribute to only 18.5% of chefs in the UK, The Kettle Khoo Academy will provide hands-on training and mentoring for five women, with Academy attendees receiving cooking equipment support – often a key obstacle for career development.
