Prof. Jimmy Choo’s JCA | London Fashion Academy and Pineider announce Jennifer Duffy and Cerys Reece as the winners of the JCA x Pineider Bag Design Competition.
The prestigious Italian stationery, leather goods and lifestyle brand Pineider was established in Florence in 1774. To celebrate its 250th anniversary, JCA and Pineider joined forces, to give young designers a fantastic opportunity to showcase their creativity and support JCA’s vision of nurturing emerging talents.
The competition featured two awards categories, Retail and Innovation. Participants were tasked with redesigning one of four iconic Pineider backpacks and briefcases: the ‘Business Backpack’, the ‘Slim Briefcase’, the ‘Tailored Briefcase’, and the ‘Regular Backpack’, under strict guidelines of design and colour specifications.
Jennifer Duffy emerged as the winner of the Retail Category, while Cerys Reece secured the top spot in the Innovation Category. Their designs were judged on creativity, technical quality, accuracy, and international appeal by Anna Gerardi, District Manager at Pineider, and Stefan A. R. Orschel-Read, Course Director of BA (Hons) Fashion: Design and Accessories at JCA.
