Inspired by resident artists Amy Shackleton and Julian Brown, Bankside Hotel presents the Elixir cocktail – an imaginative drink with a unique AR experience. Step into an augmented reality by scanning a custom coaster featuring Shackleton’s Forest Square artwork with their phone, instantly transporting them from London to North America. In the AR scene, Toronto’s skyline seamlessly merges with California’s rugged landscapes, where buildings intertwine with trees, rocks, and waterfalls that evolve before their eyes. The cocktail itself is a vibrant green creation, blending London Kew Gin with organic, nutrient-rich ingredients like homemade spinach syrup, spirulina powder, and honey harvested from Bankside’s rooftop bees. This carefully crafted mix delivers earthy, sweet, and tangy flavours that perfectly complement the visual journey. Guests can even take the AR coaster home, extending the experience long after the final sip.
