Kimbridge Barn, a rustic venue nestled in the heart of Hampshire, has redefined its afternoon tea experience under the creative direction of talented in-house pastry chef, Harry Nowell.
Kimbridge Barn celebrated record-breaking figures this summer in its sixth full year of operations – serving more than 3,000 luxury afternoon teas in 2024 so far.
The revamped afternoon tea menu, introduced under the leadership of Head Chef Harry Nowell, has been a driving force behind this success. Harry, who has more than six years of experience focusing on handmade pastries and cakes, has brought fresh energy to the venue’s afternoon tea menu since joining in December 2022.
Since taking over, Harry has re-imagined the afternoon tea several times each year, crafting everything in-house, from the delicate pastries to the unique cake displays seen at weddings and special events.
Harry said: “Since joining Kimbridge Barn, I’ve had the opportunity to solely focus on pastry and have the freedom to do what I wanted. I absolutely love the detailed nature of pastry making and being trusted creatively.”

Kris Anderson has been general manager since the venue’s opening in 2018 and has overseen the growth of the venue which is known for its rustic feel, stunning surroundings, and quality locally-sourced food.
Kris said: “Since 2018 we have hosted more than 250 weddings and served more than 20,000 luxury afternoon teas. Our average annual footfall in our first year was approximately 30,000, compared to this year’s estimated annual footfall of 75,000.”
