Vietnamese Kitchen is excited to announce the opening of Kêu’s fourth location in Borough this November 2024. Known for its authentic Saigon street food lunch menu, including their famous banh mi, the new Kêu Borough will introduce an expanded menu featuring a wider variety of noodles and rice dishes, with extended hours to cater for late-night noodle stops.
Hieu Bui, the esteemed restaurateur behind Vietnamese Kitchen, has been introducing traditional Vietnamese cuisine to Londoners for over 20 years. With three successful restaurant brands across six locations, including Kêu, Cây Tre and Viet Grill, Bui has cultivated a loyal following. Now, he is bringing the Kêu brand to Borough High Street, situated between London Bridge and Borough Market, one of London’s most iconic food destinations.
Inspired by Vietnam’s late-night noodle bars, the new location will serve Kêu’s signature lunch menu, with exciting new evening and late-night dishes. Hand-pulled noodles at Kêu originate from Saigon’s Chinatown, while Hủ Tiếu Nam Vang — a dish originally created by Chinese immigrants in Cambodia and later perfected in Saigon — adds a rich cultural twist to the menu, aiming to reflect Vietnam’s diverse street food culture.
The new venue will bring a fresh look for the Kêu brand, inspired by ancient Saigon, it will feature traditional colours and designs found in the region. Customers will find traditional noodle-house seating with tables and stools, creating an authentic yet comfortable space for dining, and downstairs, there will be further seating available. This will include a long table that can accommodate up to 12 diners, offering a more intimate dining experience away from the hustle and bustle of the upstairs area. Additionally, outdoor seating will allow guests to enjoy their favourite dishes whilst taking in the lively atmosphere of the market.
“I am thrilled to bring the Kêu brand to Borough, an area that mirrors the vibrant atmosphere in Saigon,” says Hieu Bui, Founder of Kêu. “The expanded menu we have created will introduce more of Saigon’s street food favourites to the capital, in a destination that is at the heart of London’s food scene. We hope to continue to spread the love for Vietnamese cuisine and culture through Kêu’s newest opening, offering a new and exciting destination for food lovers in London.”
