2024 Los Angeles Sevens Latest Results:
On the men’s side, Argentina, looking to make it four tournament wins in a row in the men’s competition, recovered to win 28-21 in a tense battle with Spain.
In Pool A, Ireland secured a 17-0 win over South Africa. In pool B, host USA won an enthralling battle by 31-12 with Samoa, and Aussie recorded a 24-17 victory over New Zealand.
In Pool C, Fiji and France they claimed victories, with the former snatching a 15-12 win over Great Britain before the latter defeated Canada 24-7.
On the women’s side, in Pool A, Brazil won 12-5 in their opening game against Fiji, while the most recent winner, New Zealand, also recorded an easy win, 41-5 vs RSA.
In Pool B, the first two tournament winners, Australia, started the event in style, beating Ireland 31-0, while Vancouver runners-up France registered a 35-7 win over Japan. In Pool C, Canada won their opening game of the event against Great Britain by 20-10.
